Branchville Christian Church is a dynamic, joyful, spirit-led arm of Christ whose goal is to love and lead all people to Him!

We are dedicated to:
  • Building strong hearted Christian character
  • Equipping and encouraging God's people for works of service
  • Striving to reach maturity and unity in and through our faith in Jesus Christ

The congregation was organized in 1898 by Minister Albert T. Fitts, with the following charter members: Mr. Louie O. Ott and mother, Misses Anna and Medora Ott, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Patterson, Mrs. Henrietta Patterson and Mr. Jack Heron.

The church was built in early 1900 by contractor Louie O. Ott, and dedicated by Minister Albert T. Fitts. Earlky ministers of the church were: Albert Fitts, Willie Brunson, John Smith, Willie Smith, M.B. Ingle, Sam McCracken, B.E. Taylor, and F.L. Fox. The church relocated to North Main Street in 1946, with the first service being on March 3, 1946, led by Bro. Hugo J. Baker of Harleyville, South Carolina. The church met intermittently until 1955. The following ministers served during this time: H.J. Baker, B.L. Ardis and Wilbur Hilton.
